Job Description

We are seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner for a 20-day locum tenens assignment at a small FQHC in South Dakota. This opportunity begins on Oct 13, 2025, and features day shifts, Monday through Friday, with a very manageable outpatient workload in general family medicine.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide general outpatient family medicine services to community patients
  • Manage a low daily patient volume, averaging 5-6 patients per day
  • Accept walk-ins and deliver unrushed, patient-centered care
  • No obstetrics, infant care, or suturing required
  • Utilize Meditech EHR for documentation
  • Collaborate with a longstanding care team in a supportive environment

Additional Information
  • Must be a nationally certified Nurse Practitioner
  • Compact license required if not already licensed in South Dakota
  • Facility has a longstanding presence in the community for over 50 years
  • No required board certifications
