We are seeking a skilled Family Practice Physician Assistant for a 20-day locum tenens assignment in New York, starting May 17, 2025. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive primary care services in an Occupational/On-Site Clinic setting. Responsibilities include treating common ailments like colds, coughs, and flu, conducting physicals, managing chronic care, and potentially performing suturing procedures. The work schedule varies throughout the week, including evening and weekend hours. Proficiency with AdvancedMD EMR is required. This opportunity offers the potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Provider Type Needed: Family Practice Physician Assistant 

Schedule: Monday and Thursday 9am-7pm, Friday 6:30am-7pm, Saturday and Sunday 9am-1pm


Job Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive primary care services for patients 

• Diagnose and treat common illnesses such as colds, coughs, and flu 

• Conduct physical examinations and preventive care screenings 

• Manage chronic care conditions 

• Perform suturing procedures as needed 

• Prescribe medications and develop treatment plans 

• Educate patients on disease prevention and health maintenance 

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Accurately document patient encounters using AdvancedMD EMR 

• Stay current with best practices in family medicine and occupational health


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed as a Physician Assistant in New York 

• Experience in family practice and primary care required 

• Proficiency with AdvancedMD EMR system preferred 

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential 

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team 

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings and weekends 

• Suturing skills are a plus
