Job Description

Our client in Illinois is seeking a dedicated Gastroenterology Physician Assistant for a 100-day assignment, beginning Jul 6, 2026. This full-time opportunity involves providing comprehensive care during day shifts (7:30 AM to 5:30 PM), including rounding, patient consults, and assisting physicians with bedside procedures. The role primarily focuses on managing pre-operative and post-operative care for a diverse range of general GI cases, supporting a growing service line.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform patient rounding and consultations.
  • Assist physicians with bedside procedures.
  • Manage pre-operative and post-operative care for all general GI cases.
  • Provide pre-operative and post-operative care for patients undergoing advanced procedures (no first assisting).
  • Contribute to a rapidly expanding gastroenterology service line.


Additional Information

  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology required.
  • Experience with Epic EMR system preferred.
  • Shift hours are 7:30 AM to 5:30 PM.
