Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Geriatric Physician for a 12-day locum tenens assignment at an Assisted Living facility in Georgia, starting 06/09/2025. This part-time position involves monthly chart reviews for approximately 10% of patients and being available for calls to answer questions. The physician will collaborate with one nurse practitioner to provide primary care services for geriatric patients in an assisted living setting. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing various aspects of geriatric primary care and have experience working in long-term care facilities. Proficiency with Practice Fusion EMR is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct monthly chart reviews for approximately 10% of patients

• Provide on-call support to answer questions and address concerns

• Collaborate with the on-site nurse practitioner to ensure quality care

• Offer expertise in managing complex geriatric cases

• Provide guidance on medication management and treatment plans

• Assist in developing care plans for residents with chronic conditions

• Ensure compliance with assisted living facility regulations and standards

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Practice Fusion EMR

• Communicate effectively with staff, residents, and families

• Participate in care planning meetings as needed

• Stay updated on best practices in geriatric care
