Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Hematology/Oncology Physician Assistant in New York for a locum tenens position at a healthcare facility. This 120-day assignment begins on 05/26/2025, with a Monday to Friday work schedule from 8 AM to 6 PM. The PA will be responsible for providing specialized care for patients with various hematological and oncological conditions, including leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and solid tumor cancers such as breast, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and thoracic cancers. Responsibilities and Duties: 

• Provide comprehensive care for patients with hematological and oncological conditions 

• Diagnose and treat leukemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and solid tumor cancers 

• Develop and implement treatment plans for breast, genitourinary, gastrointestinal, and thoracic cancers 

• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes 

• Conduct patient assessments, order and interpret diagnostic tests 

• Prescribe medications and manage side effects of cancer treatments 

• Provide patient and family education on diagnosis, treatment options, and prognosis 

• Participate in tumor boards and case conferences 

• Ensure proper documentation and adherence to facility protocols 

• Stay updated with the latest advancements in hematology and oncology


Additional Information: 

• Must be licensed to practice as a physician assistant in New York 

• Strong background in hematology and oncology required
