Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Hematologist/Oncologist for a 60-day locum tenens assignment in New Jersey, starting 06/09/2025. This opportunity involves providing comprehensive hematology and oncology care Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday from 8 AM to 6 PM. The ideal candidate will be comfortable managing a wide range of conditions including sickle cell disease, anemia, neutropenia, hemophilia, hepatocellular carcinoma, leukemia, lymphoma, and thalassemia. This role offers the chance to make a significant impact in patient care over an extended period, working with a diverse patient population and complex cases.

Provider Type Needed: Hematologist/Oncologist

Schedule: Monday to Friday or Monday to Thursday, 8 AM to 6 PM


Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive hematology and oncology care for patients

• Diagnose and treat a wide range of blood disorders and cancers

• Manage complex cases including sickle cell disease, hemophilia, and various types of leukemia and lymphoma

• Develop and implement treatment plans for patients with hepatocellular carcinoma

• Monitor and manage patients with anemia, neutropenia, and thalassemia

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams for optimal patient care

• Interpret laboratory results and imaging studies

• Prescribe appropriate medications and therapies

• Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatments, and prognoses

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

• Stay updated on the latest advancements in hematology and oncology


Additional Information:

• New Jersey medical license required

• Board certification in Hematology and Medical Oncology preferred

• Experience in managing a diverse range of hematological and oncological conditions

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment

• Comfort with working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
