Job Description

We are seeking a board-certified physician specializing in Hospice and Palliative Medicine for a short-term assignment at a hospice facility in Delaware, starting September 22, 2025, for 5 days. The ideal candidate will work Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, and must hold a valid Delaware medical license. Key responsibilities include fielding 20-40 daily calls from floor providers, offering expert guidance to ensure high-quality care, and utilizing oncology or internal medicine background in a hospice/palliative care setting.

Length of Assignment: 4 consecutive days

Start Date: September 22, 2025

Hours/Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM


Key Responsibilities:

  • Fielding 20-40 calls per day from providers working on the floor, offering your expertise and guidance to ensure the highest quality of care.
  • Utilizing your background in oncology or internal medicine to provide specialized advice and support in a hospice/palliative care setting.


Requirements:

  • MD with a valid license in Delaware.
  • Required Board Certifications in Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
  • Preference for candidates well versed in an advisory role within healthcare environments.
  • Proficiency in the EMR system, Netsmart, to maintain accurate patient records and facilitate effective communication with the care team.
