Schedule: 4 hours per week, 1 hour per day (preferably Monday and Friday, with flexibility)
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide virtual consultations and oversight for hospice patients
• Establish and implement treatment plans for hospice care
• Supervise and support Nurse Practitioners and CNAs in patient care
• Handle medication changes and adjustments as needed
• Oversee a hospice caseload of approximately 2 patients
• Attend Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) meetings every 15 days to review treatment plans
• Prescribe medications for hospice patients (DEA license required)
• Provide guidance on complex cases and treatment plan adjustments
• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
• Collaborate with the hospice team to ensure high-quality, compassionate care
Additional Information:
• Maine medical license required for this position
• DEA license required for prescribing medications
• Strong experience in hospice and palliative care is essential
• Comfort with virtual consultations and telemedicine platforms
• Flexibility to work primarily on Mondays and Fridays, with one day off in between
