 We are seeking a skilled Infectious Disease Physician for a locum tenens position at a hospital in Oregon. This 100-day assignment offers a Monday to Friday schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, starting on date 07/14/2025. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with general infectious disease cases, diagnosing and effectively treating a broad range of infections. This role focuses on high-acuity cases, as the hospital's hospitalists are competent in managing routine ID patients. The physician will provide expert consultations and treatment plans for complex infectious disease cases in a dynamic hospital setting.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide expert consultations for complex infectious disease cases

• Diagnose and treat a broad range of infections

• Develop comprehensive treatment plans for high-acuity patients

• Collaborate with hospitalists and other healthcare professionals

• Interpret laboratory results and diagnostic tests

• Recommend appropriate antimicrobial therapies

• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed

• Provide guidance on infection control and prevention measures

• Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and case discussions

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records using Epic EHR system

• Stay current with advancements in infectious disease management

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Contribute to quality improvement initiatives related to infectious disease care
