Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 36-week locum tenens assignment in Ohio, beginning Dec 1, 2025. The role involves single MD coverage as a laborist, handling labor and delivery including emergency GYN surgeries, with shifts covering 36 hours weekly from 7pm Thursday to 7am Saturday and additional 12-hour night shifts.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provide labor and delivery coverage independently, including emergency GYN surgeries.
  • Manage cases of preterm gestational age less than 35 weeks and severe preeclampsia, with high-risk patients transferred to a main campus.
  • Collaborate with local doctors and occasionally coordinate with midwives, despite their rare presence.
  • Ensure comprehensive patient care and adherence to safety protocols.

Additional Information
  • Must be board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid Ohio medical license required.
  • Proficient in using the Epic EMR system.
  • Ideal candidates will be comfortable working independently and handling a broad range of obstetric and gynecological conditions.
