 We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for an 8-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Texas. This opportunity requires 24-hour call coverage for specific dates in July and August 2025, starting on July 24. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing obstetric emergencies and performing deliveries, with an average of one delivery per day expected. This position offers the chance to provide crucial OB/GYN services in a hospital setting using Meditech EHR, ensuring continuous care for expectant mothers and newborns.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour on-call OB/GYN coverage

• Manage labor and delivery cases, including C-sections when necessary

• Handle obstetric emergencies and complications

• Perform gynecological procedures as needed

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and care management

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain patient safety standards

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members

• Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures

• Respond promptly to calls and arrive at the hospital in a timely manner when needed

Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Texas

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required

• Experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetric situations preferred

• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in critical situations

• Flexibility to work the specified dates in July and August

• Comfortable with an average of one delivery per day
