 We are seeking a skilled OB/GYN Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Vermont, starting 07/14/2025. This opportunity initially requires 70 days of coverage, with potential for ongoing assignments of 1-3 weeks per month throughout 2025. The position involves 24-hour out-of-house call coverage, including patient rounding, deliveries, C-sections, and management of occasional ectopic pregnancies. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with on-call duties and able to respond within 30 minutes. This role offers the chance to work in a hospital setting using Meditech EHR, with possibilities for future clinic coverage and assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide 24-hour out-of-house call coverage for OB/GYN services

• Respond to calls and arrive at the hospital within 30 minutes when needed

• Perform patient rounding as required

• Manage labor and delivery cases, including C-sections

• Handle emergency situations such as ectopic pregnancies

• Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals

• Utilize Meditech EHR for patient documentation and care management

• Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures

• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain patient safety standards

• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Vermont

• Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required

• Experience in managing high-risk pregnancies and emergency obstetric situations preferred

• Ability to work independently and make quick decisions in critical situations

• Flexibility to commit to varying assignment lengths (1-3 weeks per month after initial period)
