Job Description

 A hospital in Maryland is seeking a skilled Occupational Medicine Nurse Practitioner for an 80-day locum tenens assignment. Starting on July 1, 2025, this role requires working Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM, until October 31, 2025. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with preventative medicine, pre-employee health screenings, treating work-related injuries or illnesses, splinting, and suturing. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a nurse practitioner to provide comprehensive occupational health services, including immunizations, communicable disease screening, and work-related injury treatment. The facility uses Epic and Cority electronic health record systems, and there is potential for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct pre-employee health screenings

• Provide preventative medicine services, including immunizations and communicable disease screening

• Diagnose and treat work-related injuries and illnesses

• Perform splinting and suturing procedures as needed

• Utilize Epic and Cority electronic health record systems

• Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care

• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures

• Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety regulations

• Provide education on injury prevention and workplace safety

• Participate in return-to-work evaluations and fitness-for-duty assessments


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in Maryland
