We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for an 8-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in New Mexico, starting 08/11/2025. This opportunity requires coverage from Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM. The ideal candidate should be comfortable evaluating surgical resections and performing intra-operative consultations for a variety of cases, including GYN, GI, GU, lung, kidney, prostate, and bladder specimens. This position offers the chance to work in a hospital setting using Cerner EHR, with a possibility for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Evaluate surgical resections from various specialties (GYN, GI, GU, lung, kidney, prostate, and bladder)
• Perform intra-operative consultations for ongoing surgeries
• Analyze specimens from main operating rooms and ambulatory care centers
• Provide timely and accurate pathology reports
• Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare professionals
• Utilize Cerner EHR for documentation and reporting
• Adhere to hospital protocols and procedures
• Ensure high-quality patient care and maintain professional standards
• Communicate effectively with clinical teams and laboratory staff
• Participate in any required meetings or consultations
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in New Mexico
• Board certification in Pathology required
