We are seeking a skilled Pathologist for a 21-day locum tenens assignment at a hospital in Virginia, starting 07/01/2025. This opportunity requires weekday coverage for 8-hour shifts and weekend call. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with gastrointestinal pathology, breast pathology, and cytopathology in a hospital-based setting. This position offers the chance to work in a hospital environment using Epic EHR, with a possibility for assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Perform pathological examinations and diagnoses, focusing on GI, breast, and cytopathology
• Analyze tissue samples and interpret laboratory tests
• Provide expert consultation to clinical colleagues
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and clinical conferences
• Ensure accurate and timely reporting of pathology results
• Utilize Epic EHR for documentation and reporting
• Collaborate with laboratory staff and other healthcare professionals
• Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
• Maintain high standards of quality and accuracy in diagnoses
• Communicate effectively with clinical teams and laboratory personnel
• Stay updated on the latest developments in pathology
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice medicine in Virginia
• Board certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology required
• Experience in GI, breast, and cytopathology preferred
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
