Job Description

 A multi-specialty clinic in New York is seeking a skilled Pediatric Physician Assistant for a 200-day locum tenens assignment covering the entire 2025-2026 school year from August 2025 through June 2026. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric care in a school-based setting, working Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. This role involves managing a range of pediatric health needs for children aged 10 and over, including physicals, reproductive health, acute visits, and vaccine management. The unique aspect of this position is providing care to children without parents present. Proficiency with Nextgen electronic health record system is required.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Conduct general and sports physicals for school-aged children

• Provide reproductive health services, including birth control and STI testing

• Manage acute visits for various conditions such as abdominal pain and headaches

• Administer and manage vaccine schedules

• Offer health education and counseling to students

• Utilize Nextgen electronic health record system for documentation

• Collaborate with school staff and other healthcare professionals

• Adhere to all clinic and school policies, procedures, and safety protocols

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current pediatric practices and treatments


Additional Information:

• Must be licensed to practice in New York

• Experience with Nextgen electronic health record system required

• Comfortable treating children aged 10 and over without parental presence

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills essential

• Ability to work independently in a school-based setting

• Experience in adolescent health preferred

• No weekend work required
