We are seeking a skilled Pediatrician for a 30-day locum tenens assignment in Hawaii, starting May 19, 2025. This full-time position involves both outpatient and inpatient care at a hospital setting. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive pediatric services, including routine outpatient care, newborn care, and minor procedures. Responsibilities include managing 16-18 patients per day in the outpatient clinic, performing circumcisions, assisting with C-sections, providing post-delivery care, and conducting inpatient rounds on newborns. The work schedule is Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with additional on-call duties for inpatient care. Proficiency with Cerner EMR is required. This opportunity offers potential for extension beyond the initial assignment period.

Job Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care for 16-18 patients per day
• Perform routine well-child check-ups and sick visits
• Conduct newborn examinations and provide post-delivery care
• Perform circumcisions and assist with C-sections as needed
• Manage common pediatric conditions and illnesses
• Provide on-call coverage and conduct inpatient rounds on newborns
• Accurately document patient encounters using Cerner EMR
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Educate patients and families on child health, development, and preventive care
• Stay current with best practices in pediatric medicine
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed as a Physician in Hawaii
• Board certification in Pediatrics required
• Experience in both outpatient and inpatient pediatric care essential
• Proficiency with Cerner EMR system preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to manage both clinic and hospital responsibilities
• Comfort with performing minor procedures such as circumcisions
