Locum Tenens Physician - Pediatrician Needed in MI

Job Description

Our client, a private practice located in Michigan is in need of a locum tenens Pediatrician (MD) starting June 20, 2025. This position offers a Mon-Fri: 8am-5pm 3 days per week, expanding to 5-day/week towards the end of the year. Applicants should be comfortable seeing 15-25 patients/shift, ranging from newborns to young adults, conducting sick visits, wellness checks, administering vaccines, performing physicals and providing on-call telephonic support to parents on a two-week rotation. For this role, applicants should have a least one year of experience, and have active BLS, DEA, and PALS certifications.  

Duties Include:

• Managing a daily caseload of 15-25 patients, from newborns to young adults.
• Conducting sick visits, wellness checks, administering vaccines, and handling common ailments like cough, cold, and flu.
• Performing physicals, check-ups, and care for newborn babies.
• Providing on-call support to parents two weeks on, two weeks off – purely telephonic, without the need to visit the practice.

Key Requirements:

• At least 1 year of experience with board certification in Pediatrics.
• Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS).
• Licensed to practice in Michigan.
• Proficiency with the Epic EMR system is essential for seamless integration into our client's workflow.

Schedule Details:

• Regular hours: Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. - 5 p.m.
• Flexibility for 2-3 days a week between June 20 and August 1; ideally 5 days a week from November 10, 2025, to January 9, 2026.
