We are seeking a Pediatrician for a 90-day locum tenens assignment in Oregon, starting Nov 10, 2025. Schedule: Clinic hours Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM; call rotation 1 in 4 weekends (Friday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM, residents take first call, locum is last call); average 7–8 calls per weekend, rare in-person call-ins
Responsibilities and Duties
Provide comprehensive outpatient pediatric care, including well-child checks, acute sick visits, minor injuries, and chronic condition follow-up (e.g., asthma, ADHD)
Manage scheduled and walk-in patients in 20-minute appointment blocks, with longer slots reserved for procedures (e.g., toenail removals, Nexplanon insertions/removals, circumcisions, casting, suturing)
Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including full-time Pediatricians, Physician Assistants, and other locums
Participate in a shared call schedule, handling consults and supporting residents as last call for high-risk deliveries and urgent issues
If applicable, conduct inpatient newborn rounding and perform discharge newborn checks (no NICU responsibility; high-acuity cases transferred out)
Utilize Epic EMR for documentation and care coordination
Additional Information
Must be board certified in Pediatrics or Family Medicine with direct pediatric experience (minimum 3 years)
Required certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS), Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Oregon medical license required
