Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Psychologist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, starting Nov 10, 2025. The opportunity offers a flexible schedule of either Monday through Thursday or Tuesday through Friday, with 6:30am to 4:00pm shifts. The Psychologist will provide leadership and clinical oversight for mental health programs within a correctional facility, conducting evaluations and coordinating care to promote positive patient outcomes.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
  • Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
  • Conduct rounds in all units
  • Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care

Additional Information
  • Must hold an active Arizona license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
  • Experience in corrections is preferred, but not required
  • Assignment start date depends on completion of DOC clearance and required documentation
