Job Description
We are seeking a licensed Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a locum tenens position at a Hospital in Colorado. This 60-day assignment begins on 06/01/2025, with a flexible schedule of 32-40 hours per week, including weekend rotations. The NP will provide comprehensive urgent care services for patients of all ages, treating conditions such as cold, flu, minor injuries, allergic reactions, asthma, altitude sickness, UTIs, and more. This role requires proficiency in Epic EMR and also offers potential for extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:
• Provide urgent care services to patients of all ages
• Diagnose and treat common illnesses and minor injuries
• Perform minor procedures such as suturing and foreign body removals
• Conduct sports physicals and administer immunizations
• Manage acute conditions like asthma exacerbations and allergic reactions
• Treat altitude sickness and other location-specific health issues
• Order and interpret X-rays and other diagnostic tests
• Refer patients for CT scans or specialized care when necessary
• Utilize Epic EMR for patient documentation and management
• Collaborate with other healthcare providers for comprehensive patient care
• Educate patients on preventive care and follow-up instructions
Additional Information:
• Must be licensed to practice as a nurse practitioner in Colorado
• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine preferred
• Comfortable working with patients of all ages
• Strong clinical skills and ability to manage diverse urgent care needs
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Willingness to work weekend rotations (1-2 weekends per month)
