Job Description

 We are seeking a skilled Urgent Care Nurse Practitioner for a 164-day locum tenens assignment at multiple Urgent Care locations across North Carolina. Starting on 06/01/2025, this role offers flexible scheduling with varying shifts throughout June at different locations. The position focuses on providing comprehensive urgent care services, primarily to adult patients, including treating acute conditions, performing sutures, managing lacerations, and interpreting EKGs and x-rays. The NP will work autonomously in a provider/MA/front desk model, handling up to 40+ patients during 12-hour shifts. This opportunity requires expertise in urgent care and may extend beyond the initial assignment period.

Responsibilities and Duties:

• Provide comprehensive urgent care services

• Treat acute conditions such as colds, coughs, flu, and injuries

• Perform suturing and manage lacerations • Interpret EKGs and x-rays

• Work autonomously in a provider/MA/front desk model

• Utilize Epic electronic health record system

• Maintain accurate and detailed patient records

• Ensure compliance with all relevant health and safety regulations

• Deliver high-quality care in a fast-paced urgent care environment

• Manage high patient volumes efficiently (up to 40+ patients per 12-hour shift)

• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members

• Adapt to different clinic locations and patient populations


Additional Information:

• North Carolina state NP license required

• Experience in urgent care or emergency medicine essential
