MANAGING THE CRISIS

Updated 5/5/2020

As the nation continues to battle the outbreak of COVID-19, we are working to support our employees, clients, providers, and other stakeholders.

COVID-19 Updates & Resources

We are in close communication with our providers regarding their availability and risk factors and we have a large number of providers who are ready and willing to help during this crisis.

We are also monitoring the situation closely as states begin to lift restrictions and bans on elective and dental procedures. The two resources below gives you up-to-date information on state level changes:

Business Continuity

While the COVID-19 outbreak continues, we remain fully operational. If you have immediate staffing needs, please click here.

We are relying on guidance from federal and state authorities and are prepared to make real-time decisions as changing conditions warrant.

Provider Availability & Screening

We are staying in close communication with our providers throughout this situation and are engaged with them in open dialogue regarding their availability, and risk factors, as well as actively working to identify providers who are prepared to help in this moment of crisis.

Specifically, we have prepared a list of screening questions for all providers scheduled to start their assignments in the coming days and weeks. We also recommend facilities follow their own screening protocols upon the arrival of their locum provider.

Licensing & Credentialing

To stay on top of rapidly changing state and federal regulations, we have established a dedicated COVID-19 task force within our Licensing & Credentialing team. They work directly with state boards and organizations for the most up-to-date information. Click here for an updated list of changes.

We suggest that healthcare organizations review their emergency contingency plans to ensure that there are necessary measures in place to fast track the onboarding process.

Please contact your account manager or call us at 844-815-7814 if we can help in any way, keeping in mind we cover all specialties.

Telehealth Services

Our telemedicine platform Barton Telehealth gives you immediate, virtual access to our providers in cases where their physical presence is not required.

If you currently have telemedicine capabilities, we have providers who are experienced and able to provide telehealth medical services.

How You Can Help

We have clients across the country that are looking for qualified providers who are able and willing to help in this situation. Many states are temporarily waving licensing requirements in response to COVID-19, which makes it possible for us to get providers assisting patients faster. To remain up-to-date on these rapidly changing regulations, please click here.

If you would like to discuss what you can do to help, please reach out to your recruiter directly or call us at 844-815-7814.

Telehealth

If you want to provide assistance, but are unable to travel, many clients are turning to telehealth as a viable option to combat COVID-19. States are relaxing their regulations around telehealth, allowing for a safer experience for both the provider and patient. For information about state regulations, please click here.

If you would like to discuss what you can do to help, either in-person or through telehealth, please reach out to your recruiter directly or call us at 844-815-7814.

Travel Tips

Although our travel team remains fully operational during the outbreak of COVID-19, there are still unusual circumstances to be prepared for as you travel to your assignment.

  • Wash your hands regularly and bring hand sanitizer with you. TSA now permits bottles of hand sanitizer up to 12oz in carry-on baggage.
  • Potential delays or cancelations of flight are a possibility. Barton Associates has a dedicated travel concierge available 24/7 to assist in any travel-related complications.

We will continue  to monitor the situation and will update you with additional information if necessary. If you have any questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact your Barton Account Manager, Recruiter, or Staffing Specialist.

Please visit the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for more information on COVID-19.

Stay healthy and safe.
