Job Description

Our client in California is seeking a dedicated Family Practice Nurse Practitioner to begin a 75-day assignment on Apr 13, 2026. This role involves performing patient assessments, diagnosing and treating common urgent care conditions, ordering and interpreting basic diagnostic tests, and performing minor procedures during 8am-6pm shifts.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Perform patient assessments, including medical history, physical exams, and evaluation of acute illnesses and injuries.
  • Diagnose and treat common urgent care conditions such as upper respiratory infections, ear infections, asthma exacerbations, allergic reactions, urinary tract infections, abdominal pain, nausea/vomiting, and diarrhea.
  • Order and interpret basic diagnostic tests including labs, rapid tests, and imaging when indicated.
  • Perform minor procedures like laceration repair and suturing, minor burns, and splinting for possible fractures.
  • Manage skin conditions such as rashes, cellulitis, and abscesses.
  • Provide occasional management of chronic condition flare-ups and coordinate referrals for higher care.
