Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Obstetrician/Gynecologist for a 26-week locum tenens opportunity in California. This assignment begins Nov 12, 2025, and features a Monday and Wednesday schedule with shifts from 7:30am to 5:00pm. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive OB/GYN care, including gynecological services, prenatal and postpartum care, as well as labor and delivery management.Job Details

Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide gynecological care, including well woman exams, Pap smears, pelvic exams, and hysterectomies
- Deliver health education, STD screenings, contraceptive counseling, prenatal and postpartum care, and menopause care
- Offer comprehensive care to expectant mothers throughout pregnancy, monitoring both maternal and fetal health
- Manage labor and delivery, both vaginal and cesarean section
- Diagnose and treat infections, menstrual disorders, and menopause-related conditions
- Prescribe medications and provide patient counseling and support
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to ensure coordinated care
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient encounters
- Formulate diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans
- Evaluate patients following return from off-site treatment
- Schedule and perform laboratory and diagnostic procedures
Additional Information
- Active California medical license required
- Board Certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
- Corrections experience not required
