Job Description
We are seeking an Obstetrics/Gynecology Physician for a 2-day assignment in California, starting Apr 24, 2026. This role involves 24-hour call coverage from 7a - 7a, managing a high volume of inpatient cases including vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries, with responsibilities for triages and various deliveries.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide in-house or out-of-house call coverage.
- Manage 7-18 patient triages daily.
- Perform 1-7 deliveries or C-sections per day, with an average of 3.
- Handle high patient volume; may be the sole OB on call at times in the district's only labor and delivery facility.
- Deliver 24-hour call coverage; another OB will also be on call for shared dates.
- Perform inpatient call for vaginal deliveries, C-sections, and GYN surgeries.
- Contribute to an average of 2200 deliveries per year, with a 32% C-section rate.
- Serve a high Hispanic patient population.
Additional Information
- Board Certification required in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
