Job Description

We are seeking a licensed Psychologist for a 52-day locum tenens assignment in Arizona, starting as soon as Jan 5, 2026. This opportunity offers a flexible start date, with day shifts available as either four 10-hour days or five 8-hour days. The Psychologist will maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within a corrections setting, ensuring high standards of care.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
  • Oversee completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
  • Conduct rounds in all units
  • Formulate working diagnoses, develop and implement treatment plans, and evaluate or modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care

Additional Information
  • Arizona license required
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certifications required
  • Experience in corrections preferred, but not required
  • Start date may vary depending on completion of DOC clearance and required documentation
