Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 364-day assignment in Arizona, starting Feb 23, 2026. This role involves maintaining overall clinical responsibility for mental health programs, conducting screenings, evaluations, and rounds, as well as performing sick call visits. You will manage acute psychotic cases and crisis intervention, formulating treatment plans and participating in educational training, with shifts running from 6:30 AM to 5:00 PM.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
• Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
• Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
• Conduct rounds in all units
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
• Manage crisis intervention cases
• Handle acute psychotic cases
• Refer to psychiatrists for further assessment if needed
