Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 52-day assignment in Arizona, starting Mar 16, 2026. This full-time role involves daily shifts from 6:30a to 4:00p. The selected professional will maintain overall clinical responsibility for mental health programs, oversee screenings and evaluations, perform patient visits including sick call and chronic care, conduct rounds, formulate diagnoses, and coordinate educational training activities. Responsibilities also include managing crisis intervention and acute psychotic cases.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
• Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
• Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
• Conduct rounds in all units
• Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
• Coordinate, lead and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
• Manage crisis intervention cases
• Address acute psychotic cases
• Refer to psychiatrists for further assessment if needed
