Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Psychologist for a 52-day assignment with our client in Arizona. This role is set to begin on Mar 23, 2026, offering a schedule of 6:30a-5:00p. In this position, you will maintain clinical responsibility for mental health programs, conduct screenings and evaluations, perform sick call and chronic care visits, and address various cases including crisis intervention and acute psychotic episodes within an inpatient mental health unit.


Responsibilities and Duties

  • Maintain overall clinical responsibility for the mental health programs within the facility
  • Oversee the completion of mental health screenings and evaluations
  • Perform sick call visits and chronic care visits
  • Conduct rounds in all units
  • Formulate a working diagnosis, develop and implement a treatment plan, and evaluate/modify therapeutic regimens to promote positive patient outcomes
  • Coordinate, lead, and participate in educational training activities related to mental health care
  • Manage crisis intervention cases
  • Address acute psychotic cases
  • Refer patients to psychiatrists for further assessment if needed
  • Work within an inpatient mental health unit
