U.S. News recently conducted its 26 th annual review of 5,000 hospitals across the United States for the 2015-2016 Best Hospitals rankings. Of these 5,000, 15 made the so called, “ Honor Roll,” or the top markings in the nation. To make the Honor Roll, each of these hospitals had to score highly in six out of 16 Best Hospital specialty rankings, including cancer, psychiatry, and rehabilitation. The rankings are as follows: 1. Massachusetts General Hospital , with 29 Honor Roll points 2. Mayo Clinic , with 29 Honor Roll points 3. (Tied for 3rd) Johns Hopkins Hospital , with 26 Honor Roll points 4. (Tied for 3rd) UCLA Medical Center , with 26 Honor Roll points 5. Cleveland Clinic , with 26 Honor Roll points 6. Brigham and Women’s Hospital , with 22 Honor Roll points 7. New York-Presbyterian University Hospital of Columbia and Cornell , with 20 Honor Roll points 8. UCSF Medical Center , with 18 Honor Roll points 9. Hospitals of the University of Pennsylvania – Penn Presbyterian , with 15 Honor Roll points 10. Barnes-Jewish Hospital/Washington University , with 14 Honor Roll points 11. Northwestern Memorial Hospital , with 14 Honor Roll points 12. NYU Langone Medical Center , with 12 Honor Roll points 13. UPMC-University of Pittsburgh Medical Center , with 11 Honor Roll points 14. Duke University Hospital , with 9 Honor Roll points 15. Stanford Health Care-Stanford Hospital , with 8 Honor Roll points You can review your area hospital by adult specialty and by state to see how they ranked. With a rigorous review process for 2015-2016, less than three percent (137 of 5,000) of the hospitals surveyed by U.S. News earned national ranking in even one specialty.
