Well the folks over at Clever Medkits want to make sure that never happens again. They have created an intelligent first aid kit that makes it easy for business owners to provide a fully-stocked first aid kit to their employees that’s also easy to find and easy to use. The first thing you’ll notice about the Clever Medkit is that it’s easy to spot. It’s a big, green, cross that is highlighted by a green LED lights. It’s hard not to notice it mounted on the wall, so everyone knows where it is. The supplies on the inside are also easy to find. Each item has a designated compartment that is labeled and illuminated by a green LED light. Push one of the five buttons representing common injuries (burns, eyes, cuts, trauma, and CPR) and only the items that should be used to treat the injury will light up. The compartments are also fitted with sensors, so the kit knows when supplies are running low. A red light will illuminate when an item is missing and a notification is sent to the kit’s companion application. It can even generate an order for the missing supplies. Clever Medkit creates a report each time it is used, noting the time and the supplies that were used. A front mounted camera also snaps a picture of whomever opened the kit.
