The killer! It’s not exactly the best PR for the locum tenens profession, but it was cool to see the term used and defined on national TV. At around the 30 minute mark, Lizzy explains to her boss what a locum tenens provider is, “He fills in at short staffed hospitals, like a substitute teacher.” That pretty much sums it up! Watch the full episode on TV.com As more hospitals and healthcare organizations turn to locum tenens providers, and more providers live the locum lifestyle, I’m sure we will see more locum tenens characters in TV and movies.
